life happen..

sorry about not post yesterday, I even started one but......short story is, I had to go to the docs.  Nothing serious, but a just in case deal....

Rach will probably come over today, have to print off some forms for the eye doc appointment tomorrow.
Am planning on posting some pictures today, but just in case, no promises...

Had a great time on Tuesday with one of my BF, Barbara P.  and we actually made a card with the new Tea Shoppe stamp set.  Which by the way I don't have, but should. ( I am sure I will remedy that in the near future.)

Well stopping now.  Hope to be back soon.

Wanda

i just woke up from a nightmare....

in it I was at some place in Williamsburg getting ready to do a stamping event and had about 20 or 25 new people and didn't have any paper or ink or even a stamp set....talk about scary......

Wednesday, December 28, 2011

Whoops it will have to be tomorrow...

Just when I was fixing to post (9:30pm), Eugene decided it is time for bed.

I did have all day to post, but wasn't sure if anyone wanted to read just talk and no pictures... I do have some cards to show as soon as I take the pictures.
For some reason my mojo is having problems.. Can't get my act together...Can't decide where to go with what I am working on...
Well off to bed now... I will take some pictures and you can decide if you like them or not.
Till tomorrow,
HS,

Merry Christmas everyone...

on the birthday of God's son....

All the kids are out of town this year, so somehow Christmas isn't quite as sparkly as usual, but if I really stop to think of the real reason we celebrate, it makes it better....

Mom says Jesus probably wasn't born on Dec. 25th, but that's OK with me the fact that he was born and died for me and you is reason to rejoice!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night....

Friday, December 23, 2011

well nobody is perfect...

You didn't think I could make it 3 days in a row, now did you?

I didn't stamp one thing yesterday...don't know why, just didn't...fact is I didn't do much of anything...

Mom came over last night, late and I get a Stampin Up package today, so I should have something to show sometime soon.

Still haven't finished all our Christmas shopping, but we don't have to, all the kids will be gone till next week.. We will probably open presents on New Years Eve, so see, I have lots of time:0)

Well since I didn't make a card yesterday, I do have a picture of something I made while making cards the two other days...............A MESS!

Although it is a fun job, it sure is a mess to clean up....hey wait, I don't think I showed you this card, it is one we made in Nov. class.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas....

Later, HS,
Wanda

wow two days in a row...

what's up with that?  Since my babies moved about 20 mins away I don't see them as much, so more play time, at least for now.

Scott turned 8 yesterday and we  went over there for a little party.  Didn't take my camera cause my battery was dead...all charged now and here's some more Occasional Mini stuff.
Not sure what I think.  I'll get a card base done and then have a hard time figuring out where I want to go with it.  This is Blushing Bride, Cherry Cobbler and some Twitterpated DPS.  You can see I used the edgelits and famelits a lot here.

I need some thank you cards and was playing around with some more of the Twitterpated paper in Basic Gray.  I also have some of the new pleated ribbon, very cool and pretty.  Not sure what I think of this one either.  Sometimes I have to walk away, and then come back and see if it grows on me.

I haven't been able to "just create" for fun in a long time, I almost forgot how.  I wish Mom was here to give me some input.

I wouldn't mind if you would give me your input, but if you're like me, you are probably just a blog stalker :0).

Well stalk away and have a lovely day.

Wanda

i've been playing.....

started at 2:00am, stopped at 6:00, back at it again around 10:00....not too much to show for it. I have a messy table, which is nothing new, somethings started, but don't know where to go with them...

but I do have a couple of things to show you. I'm not sure if they will make it to class or not, who knows...

This is a card using some new stuff in the Occasional Mini Catalog available starting Jan 4th and oh boy I'm in trouble, I really like ALL of it...to bad for Eugene:0)

I used Baja Breeze and Cherry Cobble colors in this one with a little Certainly Celery for the leaves. (i was going to use Pear Piazza but didn't have it handy, Celery works just as good.)

I may turn it into a Valentine's card for class, we'll have to see.

The next card is a Never Ending card.  You can just keep folding it and folding it and folding it and, well you get the idea.  I have been intending to make one of these for years, can't believe how kind of easy it is, but not sure if it is going to be a class card either, although it may be easy to make one or two of these 28 or 30 might be a pain....once again we'll see.

This is the front using a new Occasional Mini set and some new DP.

It's a little rough, but it works.

Well Christmas time is coming, I think I'm suppose to be getting something from Santa today via my DH and Vera B, (knowwhatimean?)

Have a lovely day.

i just wasted 7 hours....

I can't believe it I've been up since 4:25 am and don't have one thing to show for it....I'll say no more...

I really need to work on Christmas cards.....

Whoops here come the Benders, have to babysit Zeb today, Scott has an appointment with the neurology doctor.

Catch you later..

well at least i found out..

why I wasn't sleeping... adorable grand kids playing in my room turned off my oxygen on my cpap machine...go figure, back in business now.

Hopefully things will return to semi chaos instead of total, now since Rachel and Jonathan are settling into their new house. She also live about 20 mins farther away from me now so I am not very convenient..

Here are a couple of cards we did in last months class.  They got to chose either green or red.
We used the Beautiful Season stamp set stamped with black stazon ink and then colored with markers.
We highlighted with a white gel pen and I uses dazzling details for some glitter on the berries.  You can't see it very good here.  I used Real Red and Wild Wasbi paper and matching paper from the Holly Berry DPS.  Black satin ribbon with glimmer brads for the bows.

The picture quality has somewhat to be desired.  Mom always said about my pictures I post here, "I didn't like it on your blog, but it's pretty in real life."  Isn't pretty much they way it always is.

Well off to work on my Christmas cards.  It will be Christmas soon you know.  Nothing like the very, very last minute.

Wanda

the early bird catches the worm or in this case, gets to post.....

For some crazy reason I haven't been able to sleep much.  I keep waking up.  Yes I know it could be old age...but I have a few other theories that I won't take the time to mention right now, but will work on.....

Well I figured I may as well take advantage of the quite time and be productive.  I made a gift card holder for class next week.  I took several ideas I saw on different blogs and came up with this......

I got the idea for the front of the card from LeeAnn Greff in North Dakota.  The inside came from two other sources who got that from someone else and so on and so forth....we all case (copy and share everything, or copy and steal everything, which ever you prefer;0) each others stuff.

I think it turned out pretty cute.

If you want to know how to make it be sure to come to class next week or send me an email and I'll give you directions.

Hope your night sleep was longer than mine!

Till next time, HS,
Wanda

no i am not dead......

but I kind of feel like almost..

It has been a crazy few weeks, more than usual.  First of all Rachel and Jonathan have been looking at houses for about 3 years.  Finally decided and was approved, but the closing date kept not happening.  They thought maybe this isn't meant to be, however they had already been packing when they thought it was and their living room and bed rooms were full of boxes.  The boys had no where to hardly go plus piles of boxes are soooo much fun to climb on....  They have been spending a lot of time at Meemaw's house....
They were suppose to close on Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday, November 21, 22 or 23......

Meanwhile Alicia, Paul's wife was driving to take some mash potatoes to Paul's work for his Christmas dinner on Tuesday November 22, while proceeding through a green light she was hit on her side by a car running the red light.  She was cut out of the car and she now has a totaled car (of course the driver had no insurance) and a fractured hip, plus a 4 week old baby. (Who was by the way not hurt at all, thank God.)
She is on crutches and will have to be on them for the next 4 weeks, in the mean time.... Paul leaves the house at 5:30 am and get home at 11:00 pm. He goes to work then to school.  Alicia can't care for her baby by herself, so someone has to be there.....

My Mom has been a big help, and so have many others, but trying to schedule someone there all the time, plus me going when I can ( which I wish was more), having my adorable grand babies 10 to 12 hours a days, gets a little busy at times.....

Rachel and her family moved yesterday.  As they were taking their van over with the last load, the transmission went out.

Through everything God is good.  I am so thankful that things aren't worse and that He knows and cares about each one of us.

I look for things to settle down a bit in the next week or so.  We' ll see.

I hope to have some things for you to see this week.  I should have some time (I hope:0)

Wanda

i really did try....

to post sooner, in fact all week so far.  I started a post Sunday night to be posted on Monday, on Monday I started a post, that I never got posted and here it is already Thursday morning and if I hadn't gotten up at 4:01 am, awake since 3:40 am:( ,I wouldn't get to post this morning.....

Classes have kept me really busy this week.  I am doing a lot of pre stuff so they won't take so long, but that is just more work for me (not hard work, just a little time consuming:0).

I wanted to make some of my shortbread cookies for a treat, but haven't been able to do that either.

Two classes today and I am baby sitting Zeb for a while during morning class.  Ethan has something they are doing in Chapel today and wanted his Mom to be there.  It is kind of hard with 'three' babies and no helper, so Zebbie will stay with me and Scott will go.  Scott will enjoy it more.

Well let's see what I have in the archives today.  I do have 5 class cards to show you but I have to take pics first, so until then...

I don't think I posted this yet, this is a card I designed for last month's class.  It uses the Spice Cake DSP and More Mustard, Pool Party and Soft Suede card stock.

Trust you have a lovely day and I get a NAP!

Sunday Share.....

One of the SU girls, who's blog I frequent, has a Sunday Share time.  She shares videos and stuff different from the rest of the week.. I think that is a great idea since Sunday is the Lord's day...so when I get a chance, I will share my Sunday thoughts....

Today we aren't having dinner at our house, we are having it at our daughter, Angie's house.  We, our 3 children and their families, usually all have dinner together every Sunday.  Paul and Alicia don't always because of their heavy weeks and sometimes they just want to go home to rest.  Rachel (the first born) always makes everyone clean up after we eat so sometimes it takes longer to clean up after 13 instead of 2;0).  Anyway that means I have a few extra minutes this morning.....

Last week at our church we had a local IHC convention.  On Thursday morning Darrel Settler spoke on prayer, a subject I am always wanting to learn more in.... He  said he has been preaching a series of messages on the Lord's Prayer.  I took a few notes, (what I could with a two year old that had to go to the potty, etc..he was really good though...for a two year old:0).

The Lord's Prayer begins with Our Father.....
Real prayer begins with GOD...God's Perspective, becoming aware of God's view...in our failures, insecurities, problems and sin...
Our hope is from GOD! when we look at things they way He does it changes how we view them.

Hallowed be thy name.....
Praise, Reverence.
Give God his proper place.
Entering into prayer with the Gift of Praise.
Although our needs are pressing, and we want to just rush into his presence, the first words in our prayer should be about God...praise, adoration, reverence.

When I am praising I am loving God, not begging God and just wanting something from Him.
A happy soul is a praising soul.
*Praise is our gift to God!!!
Praise changes our view of God.

There, of course was a lot more, but as I ponder these thoughts, I want to praise, worship and adore God more, better, always. I know I can never do it likes He deserves, but I will keep trying.

Patty, a good friend of my came up with this acronym for prayer.

P-praise
R- reverence
A-adoration
Y-yielding
E-expecting
R-receiving

Have a wonderful Sunday and blessing to all.

first things first, then move over lorna doone......

First of all Happy Veteran's day and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all!

Second, I wanted to post this a couple of days ago, but I really have had no chance, simply because I haven't been alone long enough to get it done.

As you see on Wed. we made shortbread cookies with a recipe and new cookie press I got from Stampin' UP!  Angie thought we had bought them when I sent her some home to try......

Enjoying the fruit of our labors...

They were quite larger than I expected and quite delicious.  Who said stampin' couldn't taste good?

Wanda

good afternoon

Usually I post in the morning, but right now I find myself alone for a little while.

Mom did come over yesterday and so did Patty.  We made 18 church cards and then finished up 23 cards from last month's card class.  Mom and I then worked on 40 cards for this month's class, I cut paper and Mom runs the Big Shot.  She had to do over 120 pieces for one card.  The card doesn't have 120 pieces but you do it for 40 cards.  I don't know what I would do with out her.

Scott and Zeb came over for a while today, so that Rachel could take a nap and get some cleaning done...you can only imagine what I didn't get done....

First another card from my swap.  I really like this one.  If you want details, just ask.

And this is my newest grand baby, Darren Eugene McIntyre.  He was born on Oct 23, 2011 at 1:13 pm.  He weighed 7 lbs and 11 ozs. and was 19 3/4 inches long.  The first child of my baby boy, Paul (well he is 28, but he's still my baby:0). He's a sweetie.

Well somebody needs to clean my house and since I see no volunteers, I guess I had better get started.

HS,
Wanda

back home and up early...

Back home from our brief but fun camping trip and for some dumb reason I woke up at 1:30 AM and couldn't go back to sleep.

Now I am up and will be wore out for the rest of the day...I guess it's old age or something...

Another swap card.  I have to get details later along with who stamped it for this one and last post one.

I am working on toilet paper roll cards today for this months class.  I have to admit, they are right up my alley.  They are so funny.

I also am working on church cards today, Mom and Patty are suppose to come over.

I am tired thinking about how tired I will be today, but I guess that's life.

Have a lovely day zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

HS, Wanzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

you will only know where i am....

if you read my blog...so what you ask...Well we (my husband and myself) are going camping this weekend at a small State campground, not far away, but we haven't told anyone yet, at least not kids or camping friends.  We will probably tell them sometime Saturday, but maybe not much before then. Why, you ask, just because......figure it out if  you want.

Well back to the reason you are probably here, a card.

This is a card I received in my card swap.  It uses the embossing resist technique.  You stamp in Versa Mark them emboss with clear embossing powder, them sponge over the embossed images.  I will the name of the person who did this on my next post, if she gave her name. I sure would of, it is a very nice card.

Well that's all for now.

back again.....

Once  again I have neglected to post for awhile...what can I say, that I haven't said before....nothing so lets move on....

I have been doing a lot of stamping andclasses, 1 last week and 4 the week before, so I do have a few things to show you....but just only one for today...
Oh how much prettier this is in "real life".   This one is in Real Red and I did another one in Wild Wasabi.  The stamp set is Beautiful Season and I colored it with markers and used Dazzling Details on the berries.  I also did a "Mary Brown" bow and used a Glimmer brad.

I made this for my swap and Nov. card class.

Well the day ain't getting any younger...places to go and people to see.

Later.

what a difference a day can make....

This morning I woke up around 4 ish and up at 4:30 am.  I am tired right now to say the least (5:20 am) but my day is just starting, so no going back to bed for me.  Maybe a nap later, I hope :0).

I do have some cards to show you, but who knows where my camera is at the moments, plus as soon as I get this post done, I need to start breakfast and pack a lunch for Ethan.  He did spend the night, but lucky him, he's still sleeping.  Mom is too, but I don't know what time she went to bed, she was reading when we went to bed at 10:30.

Well enough chit chat.  I will look and see if I have any pics of card I haven't posted yet and if not a pic or two of the Smokey's.  Did I tell you we saw a total of 6 bears?  Yes some of them could have been the same ones, but we saw them on different occasions.  Two the first day, one the next, three the third day. But I said enough chit chat, sorry.....
This is an adorable card I made at Barbara's workshop in Aug.  Isn't it cute? It uses the same stamp set that I posted yesterday (and a couple of days before..)  I may have posted it back then, but it's getting closers to "the season".

For some reason the bear posted on top of the snowman even though I was putting it underneath.
It is in the tree eating acorns.

And here is a picture of two of the biggest bears in the Smokey's at Cades Cove visitor center parking lot.

Well better run, places to go, people to see, cards to stamp.

Have a great day.

Wanda

okay I am crazy...

sorry about the double post....

Happy Wednesday

What a dreary rainy day outside, but for some reason I am feeling happy on the inside.  Could be I had a very good time at class today with some of my favorite stamping friends (but not all of them, Barbara you weren't here;0), plus most importantly Jesus is in my heart!

I didn't have my usual first class last night, I had it this morning, so of course it was a little less organized than I like but then out to nice lunch with Glenna.

I have a viewing to attend tonight, then Ethan, my oldest grandson is spending the night with me.  Then after taking him to met his ride for school, it will be time for Thurs mornings class.

Barbara P once again came to my aid and rescue yesterday, and when she saw the polar bear card we were doing in class this month, loved it and said the picture I posted on here a few post back, does not do it justice.  Her and Mom and Patty love it.  Thanks girls.

Did I post this card yet?  I don't think so.  It is a direct case (almost) from page 21 in the stamping up catalog.  If I have posted it, which it seems like I have, forgive me, chalk it up to old age and I'll try to post some really cool cards Mom made for me this week....

Until then stay warm and dry.

HS,
Wanda

where does the time go......?

so much for posting soon.  Seems like non stop since I got home, haven't even started stampin yet.
Wed morning is the first class for this month, so guess what I am doing tomorrow?
And then babysitting tomorrow night/afternoon.....

Not the best picture, but I was in a hurry as usual.  This is almost an exact case from a monthly card swap I am in.  The Pumpkin Pie ribbon I used here (she used Cajun Craze) is retired, however since it is still available on the clearance rack on my SU web site,  and I still had a whole roll :0), I used it.
This is another card we will be making this month.

HS for now.

home again, home again, jiggedy, jig.....

Well we are home again from the beautiful Smoky Mts, our home away from home. Had a great time with great friends, what more could a person ask for?
Now back to the real world and fun world of stampin'.

I did actually post from a hot spot but we moved out of range right as I was sending my post out and since I didn't save it, it is lost forever...Oh well let's move on, shall we?
This is one of the cards we are doing next week in card class.  I took the idea right out of the Stampin' UP! idea book on page 21.  I did change it up just a little.  It is full of sparkle and shimmer, which shows up much better in real life.

Hey and guess what, I did find last Fridays post so it will appear below this one with today's date on it.

Gotta run, church tonight.  More coming soon, until then....
HS,
Wanda

whoops i didn't get it done..

Sorry I haven't got the pictures I said I would put on yesterday on.  Had some life changes.
If I was really smart I'd have them pre posted...

Oh well, it's 7:50 am and I am sitting in the truck waiting for Eugene to finish loading on some stuff, then off to the SMOKY MOUNTAINS!!!!

You may or may not hear from me, depending on if they have wifi where we are staying.

This a card we did last month in class.  Barbara P. found online somewhere.. Wistera Wonder and Concord Crush what a beautiful combination.. Not you usual Christmas card colors but most of my stampin' girls love purple.

Well better go now. I am almost out of internet range.

HS,
Wanda

I am excited.....

In the next month or so some exciting things are going to be happening around here....A blog change....Online classes.....and who knows what else....so stay tuned.

But until then some cards.
I guess I should have said a card.. This is a swap card I got from the monthly swap I participate in.
I updated it a little using the Season of Friendship stamp set and the Very Vintage jumbo wheel.
Ink is Marina Mist and the Paper is Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Whisper White.
Big Shot dies are the Scalloped Circle, Clear Circle and the 3 1/2 in Circle.
The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder.
Punches are the Heart punch and the Bird punch for the front of the card and the Modern Label (bone:0) punch and Word Window punch on the inside.

Have a lovely day. I may get to post another Oct class card later on today or at least by tomorrow.

Until then, HS,
Wanda

Tuesday, October 4, 2011

happy tuesday...

I have the card here that I made last week and we will be doing it in class this month.
Of course as usual it looks better in real life.

Not the best photo, but come to class and see it in person;0)
Stamp set: Zoo Review; Paper: Basic Black, Island Indigo, Whisper White; Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzelberry, Wisteria Wonder, VersaMark; Accessories: Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Snow Burst embossing folder.
I masked the Polar bear after stamping on White, then sponged the color on. Then while leaving the mask still on I covered the white sponged paper and the black frame with versamarks and removed the mask and covered the versamarked area with iridescent ice ep and heated it all up with my embossing gun.
Like I said, Mom loves it. ( it's nice to have your own personal cheering section:0)
Here is my grandson Scott and I working on a birthday card for my Mom....and no I didn't get her a personal one made....bad, bad, bad...

Well have a lovely fall day, till next time...

Happy Birthday MOM!!!!!

Today is my Mom's 75th Birthday and we had a surprise party for her.   Six of her ten children were there and lots of grand kids and great grand kids.  There were 41 of us to help her celebrate her special day.
I didn't make her a card.  I know, I know,  should be ashamed of myself, but I did a lot of cooking for the party, and I did make a card yesterday that she loved. I took a few pictures of it but my daughter, Rachel turned on the flash and since it's so glittery it didn't take as good as I wanted it too.  I'll try to post it on Monday or Tuesday.

Here is a card we did at Sept Class, it's a landscape side step card.  I used the Gently falling stamp set.

Well it's been a long day and time to go to bed.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Wanda

4:30 am........blahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..............

Good morning, very early this morning.....been awake since 3:00am.....finally got up at 4:34........
Gonna be a longgggggggggggggggg day..Oh well..

This is a card I made at a workshop, my good friend and down line, Barbara Parker had.  She did a great job at the workshop and made some really great cards.

This one uses is the Snow Much Fun stamp set.  Wow the glitter shows up really good here.

Well Mom is up and so is Eugene.  Coffee is on.  Going to work on my swap card today and hopefully take a nap:0)

Nothing exciting....

Good morning....I'll hurry and get this posted....

This is a baby card invitation I made for my daughter in law's baby shower I am having.  The colors are the colors she is using in her nursery, Pool Party, Real Red and Soft Suede.  I stamped the monkey from Fox and Friends stamp set on Vanilla and punched it out with the 1 3/4 in. punch, then made the fancy circle with the Petite Pennant Die on the Big Shot.  I have a 2 1/2 in Suede circle under that.
Rachel ( my daughter) helped me alot with the stamping and punching. I wanted to sponge the monkey circle or something but she so no, this is good enough.  I did however add a strip of DSP on top of the Red. It s Spice Cake and I used scraps, she thought that it was ok:0)

Well I actually took several pics yesterday so I should have at least a weeks worth of post. (think that will happen?)

Better go now, my grandson Ethan has poison ivy or something on his face and it is swollen so he is going to the docs while I babysit today.

HS till next time,
Wanda

Tues and workin' hard......sort of.

Get ready for classes tonight and waiting for my UPS man to bring me a package so I can finish some of the projects for classes....I wish he'd hurry up...well here's a card to look at while we wait.......
Barbara Parker made this card, she didn't get the sentiment on there yet, but I really liked it, I think Mom will too.  She used the Sail Away single stamp (from the Occasional Mini and no longer available).  The card base is Crumb Cake, the Night of Navy then Crumb Cake again, with Cherry Cobbler embossed with the Lattice EF. A strip of Night of Navy ran through the paper crimper and a piece of Cherry Cobbler bakers twine tied in the middle. I think you can figure out the rest or shoot me an email with any more questions.

Thanks Barbara for the lovely card.

Yeahhhhhhhh UPS is here EARLY...gotta go get my stuff.....

Wanda

monday, monday, la la, la la la......

I'm singing that song in my head, well at least the first phase, I don't remember the rest...

Well as you can see I did survive the weekend. And we switched to plan B and didn't got to the store first thing in the morning like we usually do.  I did get back to bed for about an hour an a half, which was nice.
I didn't get to go back to bed till midnight, but today is a new day filled with lots of stamping.....

I will do church cards this morning, make up some of the rest of last months cards for a couple of people that couldn't make it, then on to this weeks classes.

Here is the card I made Friday night for my new grandson.
I used Pool Party for the base then Soft Suede and Whisper White.  On top of that I have a piece of  Spice Cake dsp and it's framed with Soft Suede.  A piece of More Mustard cut out with the big shot and the perfect pennant die, sponged with soft suede.  A big pool party button with a lion cut out from the Fox and Friends stamp set.

Well must be off now.
Hope you have a lovely almost fall day.

Wanda

It's 4:50 am...

AND I'VE BEEN UP SINCE 3:00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
I can't believe it and now I am tired and ready to go back to bed, but I'm suppose to get up 6.....blah...

Well on the good side, last night I made two cards. Sometimes I do make a card that is one of a kind that I don't do for church or a class.  (bet ya didn't know that)

Anyway for my little glitter grand daughter that wanted a hamster birthday......
I didn't have a hamster stamp so I drew a simple hamster colored the spots with blender pen and elegant eggplant ink then glittered them with dazzling diamonds.  I made a little "hair" do dad and added diamonds. I used elegant eggplant card stock and designer paper.  This actually came together faster than the baby card I made. (I'll save that card for later :)

Anyway I'm sleepy but to bad for me I guess.

Happy Stampin' until next time.......Zzz

Greetings...

Couldn't think of anything catchy to say so....hi. Tomorrow is Friday and I am going to a Walk a thon for my grand kids school.  I am going to be a counter, that is I get to count the laps the kids walk.  Of course I have already sponsored them.....

Busy week as usual, but I got lots of stamping done even though I only had two days to do it in.
Tuesday Darling Barbara (Parker of course) came over, BROUGHT LUNCH and  IDEAS and we worked on figuring out stuff and making samples.

Then yesterday, Wednesday Sweet Sheri (Arnold) came over and......are you ready for this......SHE CLEANED MY STAMP ROOM!!!!!! (or course it was a terrible mess), then helped me get two projects ALL the way ready for classes next week.

I couldn't make it without WONDERFUL FRIENDS and A WONDERFUL MOM who helps me do about everything she can when she is here.  I as so very BLESSED!

Sorry this is side ways...it's a card we did in July (I think).  I bought the idea from Chat W something at memysampsandi.blogspot.com . She has some great cards and projects.

I took a picture of a card Barbara P did, I will post soon, plus I've got some more stuff coming up.

Classes are next week.

Have a lovely weekend, if I don't get back here before it comes.  I have a baby shower at 10 am on Sat and a Birthday party at 2 pm. Busy weekend.

What a day and I'm tired already...

I normally get up at 6:05 am most every week day to take my grandson, Ethan to catch a ride to school, but this morning his dad texts me at 5:42 AM ! and told me he was taking him cause my daughter was sick and he was coming home early.
I didn't get to go back to sleep and I AM TIRED! Now I have to get dressed and go pick up my two little busy grandsons....and I need to chop onions, make name tags and label for a ladies meeting tonight, rip out some stuff I did on a skirt I need to finish by tomorrow morning, go to that ladies meeting tonight......
Well enough crying for now....
This is another card I made tiring to use the Spice Cake material, I also have a jumbo brad on it.  The colors I used are More Mustard, Pool Party and Soft Suede.  I also put a piece of Chantilly Crochet trim on it (all SU of course).
Better get on with my day, trust yours is lovely.

happy labor day......late

I finally downloaded some pics, so I will try to post some (if I don't get too interrupted).
I'm interrupted...........
Next day....I was interrupted better get a card on here asap.
Here's a card I made for my monthly swap. I used some of the new designer paper call Spice Cake from the Holiday Mini.  The big buttons also came from there.  I love that paper.  I wanted to use the buttons, but they are kind of big, some people liked this card and some didn't. At first I didn't know if I did or not, but when I woke up and looked at it the next morning, I decided I did.
I used Pool Party, Soft Suede, and More Mustard ink, and Pool Party and Soft Suede card stock.
Mom said it looks better in real life, most cards do, but what do you think?  Should I or shouldn't I use it for class this month?  Are the buttons too big for the card?
Well I baby sit this afternoon for two busy little boys while their mom takes their sister to the doc's for a check up.  Eugene asked me how long did I think I would take.  I know not less than 4 hours.....
So I better go now.

hubby came home...

so I had to cook supper, and not time to post last night.
Mom and I broke beans and canned another 14 qts last night plus I shredded 37 cups of zucchini.  I made meat loaf and zucchini casserole.
WHEN AM I GOING TO HAVE TIME TO STAMP!!!!
We picked least 20 to 30 qts of beans today but I don't know when I am going to get to them. Got lots of other stuff to do.  I am going to check and see if I have a pic of a card I haven't posted yet, if I do I'll post it, if not I'll try to get to it later on today.

this is another quilt card done in a different color.  I am getting the lattice die for the big shot next Thursday.
Barbara Parker (HI Barb!) had a beautiful card made with it that she showed us last Monday night.
I am going to make it for our class this month.
Well better get a shower now, it was hot out there picking those beans.
I'll post again soon.
Have a fun and safe Labor Day weekend.
