Finally Friday

Sounds like the name of a stamp pad or something.  I've actually had these pics since Monday night, but just now posting as two little kids are running around playing kitty and caterpillar and monarch butterfly.  I have been babysitting all week for different combinations of grand kids.  Fun but tiring at times.
I don't think Rachel is ever going to have her baby and I think she doesn't think so either, but one way or another she is scheduled for induction on May 2nd, so we'll see, then I really will be babysitting 24/7.
Well I am sure you didn't come here to hear all of that, but to see some cards.

This is one of the cards we made at class this month. It is almost a direct copy of one I found on Me, My Stamps, and I blog. She is an great designer and I love most all of her cards.  The blog address is memystampsandi.blogspot.com
She (and I) used the egg from the Easter Blossom stamp set in the Occasional Mini Catalog (last day to order is tomorrow). We also had little flowers with a pearl in the middle on the right hand corner of each of the three stamped flowers/eggs, but I was using these for church cards and thought they would mail easier without them (plus less work, when you do twenty or more cards, it saves a little time.)
Several people thought the pear pizzazz dp came that way, but I just stamped the stripes with concord crush and a stamp from the same set, then highlighted with the white gel pen.

This next card came from a design I use about three years ago just changed up designer paper, this paper is from the sweet and sour dp.  I wouldn't of thought of using rose red and pumpkin pie together, but it works, and looks cute here.
I'm working on this months swaps cards for Cathy Bell's swap that I am in.  Will post the card sometime.
Rachel and her three boys are coming over soon to join Grant, Alana and me, so I'll have a full house soon. I'm making turkey(leftovers from Sunday dinner) n dumplings for lunch. Come on over if you are hungry:0)

Happy Monday

I would love to say blaaaaaaah, however I am choosing to be up beat and cheerful.  I actually have no reason to blah except it is Monday and I am tired and have lots to do and..... HOWEVER I am healthy and not bored and have wonderful family and friends and I am not in a war zone and I didn't have my home destroyed by earthquakes and tornadoes and ... Happy Monday everyone!

This a  card we did at my workshops this month. (a workshop is like a party) I do them at other people house so they can earn free product. It's not the best picture, as usual I was in a hurry.

 It is a spinner card, a very fun card.  We made it 5 1/4 by 5 1/4 square so it fits in an SU 5 1/2 sq envelope.

 This next pic is from the Smokies again. It is my son in law Nate and his/my two grand kids, Grant and  Alana at Chimney Rock picnic area. Never go down to the creek unless you are prepared to get wet. (famous last words, "Don't anyone get wet!")

This last pic is on are way to Clingman's Dome, the place where, on a clear day you are able to see 7 states.
It was 57 degrees when we left Cades Cove, by the time we got up to Clingman's Dome it was 27 degrees. burrrrr..We thought this was snow, but it was a thick frost, like when the old freezer would build up frost in them from the cold and moisture.
Well that's all for today.  Babysitting for my oldest daughter and her oldest son to go to the dentist today, pick up taxes, then a baby shower for her tonight.
Two classes this week and a baby sometime in the next two weeks, she is due tomorrow.

i know, i know, i know..

it way past time to post... busy plus lazy...equals no post until today.
The first two cards are cards we did in last months card class and the last card was done in this month's class.

This last card is done using the new triple layer punch availble in the new summer mini catalog starting May 1st.  I already have at least 3 people wanting to order them.
I'm gettting ready to go back to bed. Been awake since 1:38 am, got up at 2:26 am, have to babysit for Rachel (my oldest daughter who is great with child) to go to the docs. Two little busy boys will be wanting to play today.
Well I'll go take a nap, but you keep stampin ;0)

I am back from vacation...

and don't have any stamping to show for it.  Can you believe I left it all at home, even my catalogs!  But I was busy, thinking and thinking, when I had the chance ;0)
Here is a pic or two from the Smokies though. And believe me I am stamping every chance I can between now and next week cause...I HAVE CLASSES to get ready for, plus babysittting, a baby shower, a ladies meeting and CLEANING MY HOUSE after getting back from vacation. Oh the laundary!!!!!
