what a difference a day can make....

This morning I woke up around 4 ish and up at 4:30 am.  I am tired right now to say the least (5:20 am) but my day is just starting, so no going back to bed for me.  Maybe a nap later, I hope :0).

I do have some cards to show you, but who knows where my camera is at the moments, plus as soon as I get this post done, I need to start breakfast and pack a lunch for Ethan.  He did spend the night, but lucky him, he's still sleeping.  Mom is too, but I don't know what time she went to bed, she was reading when we went to bed at 10:30.

Well enough chit chat.  I will look and see if I have any pics of card I haven't posted yet and if not a pic or two of the Smokey's.  Did I tell you we saw a total of 6 bears?  Yes some of them could have been the same ones, but we saw them on different occasions.  Two the first day, one the next, three the third day. But I said enough chit chat, sorry.....
This is an adorable card I made at Barbara's workshop in Aug.  Isn't it cute? It uses the same stamp set that I posted yesterday (and a couple of days before..)  I may have posted it back then, but it's getting closers to "the season".

For some reason the bear posted on top of the snowman even though I was putting it underneath.
It is in the tree eating acorns.

And here is a picture of two of the biggest bears in the Smokey's at Cades Cove visitor center parking lot.

Well better run, places to go, people to see, cards to stamp.

Have a great day.

Happy Wednesday

What a dreary rainy day outside, but for some reason I am feeling happy on the inside.  Could be I had a very good time at class today with some of my favorite stamping friends (but not all of them, Barbara you weren't here;0), plus most importantly Jesus is in my heart!

I didn't have my usual first class last night, I had it this morning, so of course it was a little less organized than I like but then out to nice lunch with Glenna.

I have a viewing to attend tonight, then Ethan, my oldest grandson is spending the night with me.  Then after taking him to met his ride for school, it will be time for Thurs mornings class.

Barbara P once again came to my aid and rescue yesterday, and when she saw the polar bear card we were doing in class this month, loved it and said the picture I posted on here a few post back, does not do it justice.  Her and Mom and Patty love it.  Thanks girls.

Did I post this card yet?  I don't think so.  It is a direct case (almost) from page 21 in the stamping up catalog.  If I have posted it, which it seems like I have, forgive me, chalk it up to old age and I'll try to post some really cool cards Mom made for me this week....

Until then stay warm and dry.

Wanda

where does the time go......?

so much for posting soon.  Seems like non stop since I got home, haven't even started stampin yet.
Wed morning is the first class for this month, so guess what I am doing tomorrow?
And then babysitting tomorrow night/afternoon.....

Not the best picture, but I was in a hurry as usual.  This is almost an exact case from a monthly card swap I am in.  The Pumpkin Pie ribbon I used here (she used Cajun Craze) is retired, however since it is still available on the clearance rack on my SU web site,  and I still had a whole roll :0), I used it.
This is another card we will be making this month.

HS for now.

home again, home again, jiggedy, jig.....

Well we are home again from the beautiful Smoky Mts, our home away from home. Had a great time with great friends, what more could a person ask for?
Now back to the real world and fun world of stampin'.

I did actually post from a hot spot but we moved out of range right as I was sending my post out and since I didn't save it, it is lost forever...Oh well let's move on, shall we?
This is one of the cards we are doing next week in card class.  I took the idea right out of the Stampin' UP! idea book on page 21.  I did change it up just a little.  It is full of sparkle and shimmer, which shows up much better in real life.

Hey and guess what, I did find last Fridays post so it will appear below this one with today's date on it.

Gotta run, church tonight.  More coming soon, until then....
HS,
Wanda

whoops i didn't get it done..

Sorry I haven't got the pictures I said I would put on yesterday on.  Had some life changes.
If I was really smart I'd have them pre posted...

Oh well, it's 7:50 am and I am sitting in the truck waiting for Eugene to finish loading on some stuff, then off to the SMOKY MOUNTAINS!!!!

You may or may not hear from me, depending on if they have wifi where we are staying.

This a card we did last month in class.  Barbara P. found online somewhere.. Wistera Wonder and Concord Crush what a beautiful combination.. Not you usual Christmas card colors but most of my stampin' girls love purple.

Well better go now. I am almost out of internet range.

I am excited.....

In the next month or so some exciting things are going to be happening around here....A blog change....Online classes.....and who knows what else....so stay tuned.

But until then some cards.
I guess I should have said a card.. This is a swap card I got from the monthly swap I participate in.
I updated it a little using the Season of Friendship stamp set and the Very Vintage jumbo wheel.
Ink is Marina Mist and the Paper is Bashful Blue, Marina Mist and Whisper White.
Big Shot dies are the Scalloped Circle, Clear Circle and the 3 1/2 in Circle.
The Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder.
Punches are the Heart punch and the Bird punch for the front of the card and the Modern Label (bone:0) punch and Word Window punch on the inside.

Have a lovely day. I may get to post another Oct class card later on today or at least by tomorrow.

Until then, HS,
Wanda

happy tuesday...

I have the card here that I made last week and we will be doing it in class this month.
Of course as usual it looks better in real life.

Not the best photo, but come to class and see it in person;0)
Stamp set: Zoo Review; Paper: Basic Black, Island Indigo, Whisper White; Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, Regal Rose, Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzelberry, Wisteria Wonder, VersaMark; Accessories: Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Snow Burst embossing folder.
I masked the Polar bear after stamping on White, then sponged the color on. Then while leaving the mask still on I covered the white sponged paper and the black frame with versamarks and removed the mask and covered the versamarked area with iridescent ice ep and heated it all up with my embossing gun.
Like I said, Mom loves it. ( it's nice to have your own personal cheering section:0)
Here is my grandson Scott and I working on a birthday card for my Mom....and no I didn't get her a personal one made....bad, bad, bad...

Well have a lovely fall day, till next time...

Happy Birthday MOM!!!!!

Today is my Mom's 75th Birthday and we had a surprise party for her.   Six of her ten children were there and lots of grand kids and great grand kids.  There were 41 of us to help her celebrate her special day.
I didn't make her a card.  I know, I know,  should be ashamed of myself, but I did a lot of cooking for the party, and I did make a card yesterday that she loved. I took a few pictures of it but my daughter, Rachel turned on the flash and since it's so glittery it didn't take as good as I wanted it too.  I'll try to post it on Monday or Tuesday.

Here is a card we did at Sept Class, it's a landscape side step card.  I used the Gently falling stamp set.

Well it's been a long day and time to go to bed.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Wanda
