A couple more...

Here are two more cards made with the House of Haunts set. I never would have gotten it had I not had to use it for a demonstration on Sat.
It was kind of fun, now that the final decision has been made on which one to use from the two on the previous post.
What is it, you ask? Do you really want to know?
Check back Monday and I'll tell you.
In the mean time the card on the left is made using some of our new in colors. The moon was masked before the white card stock was brayered with so saffron, then it was sponged with crushed curry, rich razzleberry and elegant eggplant. The clouds were sponged
using elegant eggplant.
Several people were impressed with how good my circle was drawn around my moon, it was the stamp not me. That stamp has the circle already drawn, you can use the 1 3/8 circle punch to mask it.
Have a lovely stampin' weekend.

Can't decide....

I can't decide.
Saturday at a full group meeting for demos, I am having them make a card using a brayer and sponging technique.
I wasn't sure which card to use so I asked for several opinions...everyone of course picked the black/drango card, but the purple card is simple and still demonstrates the technique. So I am torn as to which one to do on Saturday. Sharon, my up line who is in charge, likes simple and the purple card is definitely simpler, it uses 3 stamp pads, where as the other one uses 5. (She is traveling and unable to give me an opinion.)
I will be doing the black/drango card at my next card class, that's a for sure. I used the House of Haunts from the catalog on pg. 22. I used So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Dusty Drango, and Elegant Eggplant for the background and Basic Gray for the clouds. The main image is stamped with black stazon.
I took several pics with my daughters camera (no I still don't have one) so I will have things to post over the next week or so. Some pics are from the shoes box swap we just had.
Take care and happy stampin',
Wanda

The reason why...

The reason why I haven't blogged since I have been back from Comargo Camp is because I still have no camera. I have the money to buy one, but only had the chance to look once. I don't want a real expensive one, but a good one. Eugene wants one that cost about $700 or $800 so we can get close up pictures of bears and deer in the Smokies:0) I guess that is the only reason.

But I am not planning on going professional yet so I don't think we need one that expensive. But I still need a camera, all these beautiful cards going unseen....

Well I can still post Mojo Monday's sketch even though it's Tuesday. Hopefully I will get to work on it tonight. I am working on a Halloween card for our group meeting (lots of fun sweet SU demos) this Saturday... I can't decide witch (pun intended, even though there is no witch on it:0) one I like best. I am not good at choices.

Have a lovely rest of the day,

WOO HOO!

I got um, I got um down loaded! Woo Hoo! Yeah!
My oldest daughter, Rachel brought her camera by
when she dropped off Scott, my 5 year old special needs
grandson.

I took my pictures, hooray.
I am going to have to buy me a camera one of these days soon.
The top pheasant card I started first and then it didn't seem right, so I started the other pheasant card. I keep messing with both of them and
finally left them alone for a while.
I pulled off the corner thing on the 2nd one. and just left it. These were both from the mojo monday 97 sketch. I use soft suede for the base of the first card and sahara sand for the 2nd. The first and second use the new Autumn Traditions designer paper. The pheasant is colored using the bermuda bay, dusty drango, soft suede, ruby red (for the eye) markers. I'm lovin' the new in color markers. The pheasant is stamped on very vanilla on the first one and sahara sand on the second. I used some vanilla hardware on the first and used the designer label and modern label, photo corner punches. On the second one I used the soft suede polka dot ribbon turned over and the word window punch and the modern label (dog bone as we like to call it) punch. I then use my movers and sharpers to punch out a frame for the dog bone punch.
Wow this is getting long. For the Sympathy card I used mojo monday sketch 98. I decided to also us this for an on line swap I am in. I used Close As a Memory stamp set, razzelberry, mellow moss and white card stock and Cottage Wall dp (another one of my favorites). Mellow moss and rich razzelberry markers, and razzleberry polka dot ribbon.
Hope you like them all. I know I won't get to this week's sketch till next week, cause I am breakfast cook for our church camp for the next 7days. I will be missing in action, but don't worry.......
I'll be back...

Have you ever tried one of these sketches yet?
If so, I love to see them. Email or send them to

world to see:0)

I don't want to be boring, but....

We are off to a wedding this morning. My niece in Mt. Vernon, OH is getting married, so leaving at 8:30 am I won't get home until 7 or 8 tonight. Yikes! I just remembered I haven't wrapped her present yet, and believe or not... I DON'T HAVE A CARD MADE FOR HER!!!!!!

Later. HS,

MoJo Monday Sketch

Today is Monday and time for another sketch, although I still haven't completed last weeks yet.

Today is my grandson Ethan's 8th birthday and the party is here, so I can't stamp until tonight, but after they all leave believe me I will. Hopefully tomorrow sometime will bring the results.

Have a great day.

And so go the best laid plans of mice and men...

and well meaning stampers. Eugene (my hubby) had a physical on Friday so he didn't work, so I didn't get any stamping done. Monday is my oldest grandson's b-day, he'll be 8, and my daughter call yesterday and informed me that the party would be here at my house since I have more room. So maybe not much stamping then, but momma's coming over so we should be getting some stuff done. Now I will have two Mojo Monday sketches to do. I have several ideas floating in my feeble brain, just waiting to jump out on paper. Until then here is another card we did at last month's class.
Actually didn't do this one at class. I was going to do this one for a swap, but it didn't just jump at me, so I didn't do it. It's not a wow, but it's okay. I used the Lot's of Bolts on pg. 82. I kind of used the same lay out as the example at the top of the page, but they used rub ons and I didn't. I used certainly celery card stock and marker and basic grey card stock and marker. I used the sanded background stamp on the basic grey card stock. Then the Bermuda bay paper, marker and ribbon. Love the new in color markers.
Take care and Happy Stampin'
