good morning

My sister, Holly and her family just left a few minutes ago.  We really had a good time.  I taught her how to play Dutch Blitz last time she was here and they love it.  Played quite a few games, but now the party time is over.
Of course I stayed up too late last night, after they went to bed at 11:30pm, I stayed up till 2:00 am playing Birds on a Wire.  I can't beat the level I'm on.  I wish I didn't have such an addicting personality.

Well I took some card pics this morning so I'll share one or two (depends on how long it take to down load), then who knows maybe a nap this morning.
This is a card we made in class this month using the new Wistera Wonder in color.  You can't see it too good but in the center of the designs there are rhinestones. I got this idea from a card I saw on stampin addicts.
Think I'll go now.
HS till later,
Wanda

i know, i know, i know..i've been mia

I don't know why once I get behind, it's hard to get started again, but I'm back in the saddle again...
Speaking of saddles, last week was VBS and our theme was..Wanted by God...and The Wild West.
Since I came home from Canada I haven't hardly stopped.
Got home late Sat night, Sunday church, dinner, family...Monday an unplanned trip to the chiropractor for Rachel, then a frantic panic to get ready for class on Tues. night, no samples made, no cutting done.
Tues thur Thurs, then again on Saturday classes. All the while tyring to plan and organize a surprise birthday thing for my friend and pastor's wife.
Early Saturday morning Paul (my son) text and say that his wife, Alicia, grandmother in Canada had just passes away, talk about cutting it close, God definitely lead us there just in time.
However with her passing, that meant another trip back to Canada for her and she was doing a big part of our VBS, so guess who got her job? that's right, me....
I picked up Rachel's 3 boys every morning and got to tell the Bible story, do the review game, be Wildcat Wilma, help lead singing and plan and do crafts (the crafts were only 2 days though, thank goodness).  Plus Wed night we got to do a VBS review complete with Wildcat Wilma. (thank goodness my hubby wasn't there, I embarrass him enough as it is).
Then my sister from MO, who was suppose to come on Monday night the 25th, says she will be here on Saturday night the 23rd.....talk about panic. Thankfully I have two wonderful daughter who help me lots, Angie (my youngest) came over Friday and helped me clean for company. whew...

This week has been busy as well, but I won't bore you or me any longer with details.  Monday night was our "Christmas Card" night, of course none of us worked on Christmas cards, but I did get my this months swap card figured out and as soon as I get through with this post, I am going to finish them so I can get them in the mail.
I will have lots of cards to show you, but haven't taken any pics as of yet.  So instead I'll show you some pics of a quilt I slept under in Canada. Alicia's grandma had made.  The pattern is just like one of the cards I had made and posted. I think it's Flower Garden or something like that.

I do plan to get back in the posting groove again.
Until next time,
HS,
Wanda

Leaving tomorrow...

Tomorrow kind of bright and early we will be heading back to the good ole US of A.
Today we went to the Tea House, a neat little shop that sold teas and such. I had ice Strawberry Mango Lemon tea and Alicia and I split a scone.  I was different than the ones I have seen in the States.  Kind of large and lumpy looking but quite tasty.  They serviced it with butter, jam and whipped cream.

Speaking of all the "quilt" cards I have been making, I am sleeping under a quilt with the pattern like the rose colored one that I had on June, I think, the fifth. Anyway I am taking a picture of it and will post it when I get  home sometime.  I said we weren't making them in class, but I am having second thoughts.  Who knows what we will finally do, not me only God I guess.....

Well I will catch up with you all again next week.
Bye Bye.

Greetings from the vast land of Canada.

I am in Kingston, Ontario.  I don't have my computer with pics on but I can get on line and send out a quick "hi" to all.
I wasn't able to take any stampin' stuff with me so I spent just about the whole day reading a rare thing.  Quite enjoyable I must say, but I would like to be making something, I have classes when I get back.  I do have my plan sort of.
Of course I have too many ideas and not enough time to do it but we'll see.
Hope all of you had a good 4th of July holiday and will be ready to stamp.
Take care, I'll be back home Saturday night.
HS,
Wanda

I don't have much time as I am pre writing this to post today.

go figure...

although I didn't have time to post, when I got back on my computer it was back to normal.  The only thing I can figure out it that they wanted me to know what it would be like if I lost everything and not buy their back up.  Well whatever, I'm back in business.
Busy weekend, when camping at Cowan Lake and tomorrow I am going to Canada with my favorite daughter in law. (of course she my only one, but that souldn't matter:0)
Not totally a pleasure trip as her grandma isn't doing to well and she wanted to see her before it is too late.  We will be making a kind of fast trip, we will be coming back Saturday.
Then Classes will be next week.  Mom came over today and we've been really busy trying to get a head start. So I have some cards to show you, but only one per day.... I know I'm mean.

This a card I am not planning on doing, but I really like it.  I got the idea from a web site that got the idea from Ellen somebody, who made it for the display on the SU cruse, (to Alaska, which I am extremely jealous about). I made this with some retired DSP and Rose Red CS. My camera is taking crummy pictures, (think it's the flash).
Better go now. Trying to talk on the phone and type is a little confusing...plus I gotta pack!
Later,
HS,
Wanda
