Happy New Years almost...

I made two Valentines cards for a card swap I am in yesterday.  Usually Mom does a set ( of 7) and I do one, but she can't do them this month, so I did two of them. Finished the second one today and got them in the mail.
I was thinking of doing them for my class this month especially since they use the new promotional from SU, but I might have to figure out an easier way to do the scunci ribbon.  It looked easy but it was a pain in the pin feathers.
I won't bother with details since I don't think anyone cares, but if you do just ask, I'll be happy to oblige.
If I don't get back on here before have a Happy New Year and be safe.

Whoops forgot pics...

Sorry the snowman is sideways. I'll re post later (probably tomorrow) and fix it.
HS,
me

I can't believe it....

Has it really been since May since I have blogged.  All my faithful reader ( the two of you) can now resume reading this wonderful blog!!!!
Lots of thing have happened in the months gone by as I read and read how sleepy I was, thankfully that has somewhat cleared up with the discovery of my sleep apnea. My cpap plus oxygen has really helped.  Maybe that's why I quit posting, couldn't stay awake long enough to do it.

Well here's a couple of Christmas projects for you, none I might add, did I invent, but you have to admit, I am a great copier. The snowman gift card holder is from Lisa Young and I don't know who made the reindeer, they are adorable, but I can't find the web site again. (good thing I have somewhat of a good memory).

Got to run now. Have to go to my grandson's Christmas program at school tonight.  He's in kindergarten and he only sings with the rest of the kids, but it's a Grandma's duty.  Maybe now that I have broken the ice I will start blogging again, but don't hold your breath.  I do have lots I can show you now.

Ta, ta, for now. Stay warm and happy stampin'

I am soooo sleepy...........zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I don't know what's wrong with me, I can't stay awake.  I fall asleep stamping, on the computer, reading, just about anything anywhere.  I finally got my swap card made and mailed 2 days late...
I have also been very busy with life stuff too.  We are fixing to go get a new washer.  My died about 2 weeks ago.  It was 13yrs old and served us very well. But you didn't come here to hear my sad stories but to see a card.

This is called a magic color appearing card or something like that.  First you see the picture in black and white then.........

Then wahlah, the color appears when you pull up on it. Like magic.

There it is a little closer up...

Well I have to go now.  Hubby is home and we are going out to get a new washer....

Have a lovely weekend.

I remember as I was eating a late breakfast (i am so not a morning person) the name of the 'Bone' punch, it is the Modern Label punch.  It does look like a bone kinda, don't you think?

Happy Monday

Today starts another fresh week....and I am already racing through it.  Today I will work on church cards, go to the bank, post office and pharmacy.  Tonight I have a friend coming over with her son to work on a science fair project and then it is Virtual/Reality Christmas card stamp night.   And no, I still haven't started my Christmas Cards yet:0)
Although Easter has passed, here is a card we did using the Chocolate bunny stamp.  I love that stamp, it's so cute.  It also reminds me of a Veggie Tale song about The bunny, the bunny, woo I ate the ears off the bunny...something like that, my kids and grandkids tell me I sing it wrong all the time....Well anyway I use some of the Speciality Designer Paper called Sending Love,  on every sheet one side had GLITTER..ooohhh it is so pretty. (you can only get it through the end of April so order soon if you need it!)  The other thing we did that was fun was the faux ribbon braiding very easy.   We used Pretty in Pink, Very Vanilla and Chocolate Chip  card stock.  Lots of punches the new Corner Trim Scallop, Scallop Trim,  Ticket Corner, (i can't remember it's real name and my book is in the kitchen, i only remember it as the bone punch??)the "Bone", and the Word Window.  (we do have knick name for some stuff, i can't believe, i can't remember, i guess it's a senior monent.)

Well before I forget my name, I'll sign off.  Hope you week goes well for you.

A card from our March class

Here's a card using the big shot and the bird punch.  We did this card in March.  It is using Kraft paper and Brocade Blue a long with the Bella Blue designer paper.  The Brocade Blue will be one of the retiring colors this June.  The Kraft will be name changed to Crumb Cake.
I use the lg oval punch and the oval scallop punch.  The leaves are made with the wing from the bird punch.

If you have any questions, just ask.

hey, i'm back again..

Here's a grad card I did for a swap I am in last month.   You can't see it very well but I used the groom speciality paper for the front flap fold.  The other color besides Basic Black is Kraft. I embossed the monkey with black EP (embossing powder) on White Confetti card stock.  I love the sock monkey. I lightly colored him with watercolor wonder crayons and used a blender pen.

We may make this at class next month.  I haven't decided for sure, but I have decided on class dates:
May 18th Tues at 6:30 pm; May 19th Wed at 9:30am; May 20th Thurs 10:00am and 6:30pm.  No Saturday classes this month cause of Graduations and Weddings.

Please RSVP if you would like to attend one of these classes next month.
Hope to see you there and as always..

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!

It has been 3 months since I last blogged.  Well I am back now and Rachel helped me figure some stuff out, so here are a few pictures..... I am going to have to figure out how to get the pictures below.

The card on the bottom is the one we did in class this month.  We figured it out about 2 hours or less before class started.  We used pretty in pink and close to cocoa paper.  The close to cocoa is one of the retiring colors. (more about that later).  I uses Designer paper from the Sweet Pea pack and embossed the background with the final press.  We added old olive ribbon and pretty in pink cordury buttons.

The top card is what I made with some of the left over stuff, not bad.

I am currently babysitting 2 cute kids, that think they are hungery, so that all for now.

I'll post class schedules and more pics. later.

HS for now,

Another card from class

I wanted a mascline card and to use a certain lay out, plus wanted to use some new sale a bration stuff and this is what I came up with.  Simple, but it works. Some of the girls didn't want to make it a birthday card and came up with a couple of cute veriations, but I didn't get a picture of them.  (i might try to make them later).  I used craft paper, chocolate chip and not quite navy paper.  I used craft not quite navy ink and embossed with clear embossing powder so I could color my packages and besides it looks good shinny.

Don't for get to check out the red, brown and pink clutter card and leave a comment.

That's all for now.

Here's one..

This is one of cards we are making at my card class this week.  I said it was this was going to be a quick and easy card class, but it's not.  I can't do anything quick and easy, but I do like what I do.
This card is made using the new Vintage Vogue stamp set, some new sparkley glitter paper, called Sending Love Speciality,  the new Pretty in Pink corduroy button and the Prefect Polka Dot textured impressions folder, all in the Occasions mini catalog.  I used Bermuda Bay with it.

This card is not one we are doing, but I had thought about it.  Yes it is rather cluttery and not my usual style, but I kind of liked it.  Do you?  I have several oppinions, Angie my 30yr daughter, Sheri and Margie, two of my use to be friends (just kidding) don't like it.  Rachel, my32 yr daughter and Vashti my 32 like daughter (they saw it without the bird) and Phyllis, Jan, Diana, Ruth, and Marilyn (ladies in yesterdays class) like it.
How about you?  Yes are No please circle one (jk).
Leave a comment and win a prize.  I won't hurt my feeling if you don't like it (I'll just never speak to you again:0) kidding again)  Let me know why you don't like it or why you do also.
Either way you will be entered in a drawing and I will let my unbiased grandson pick a no. and see who wins.
What will you win.  A pack of the new Welcome Neighbor DSP, some Real Red and Pretty in Pink corduroy buttons and one each of the new brads in six different designs.  Sound good.  Talk to me.

Wanda

My Stampin Studio

I made this on my My Stampin' Studio, simple, but something.
I see I didn't get my 'designer paper' over enough on one side.  Well I'll just have to keep working on it.

I have 2 cards out of 9 done (samples, that is) for next week.  I have my regular card class, then a Senior Citzen class thrown in the middle of them.

Today all I have done is cook (trying to eat healthy and lose weight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and mess with the computer, and kind of clean, which I need to do a whole lot of that..!..

Well HS,
Later,

I have too much to do sometimes and end up not getting much done.  I did get a card made for class on Sat afternoon... but don't have time to find my camera to post it.
Tonight I am suppose to be doing a skit for a ladies' group with the story of Stone Soup.  I have to be done in about a hour.
Maybe tomorrow.
