no i'm not dead..

although there might be some debate on that......

Not going into reasons or excuses.....

I haven't taken pictures of my cards yet, but Saturday I went to the Columbus Regional and took a few...we will be making some of them in March's card class.
We might not make this exact card, but we will be learning how to make these beautiful flowers using the butterfly punch....

This not a stamping picture of course, it is my little grand daughter at my house on my birthday.  So cute, looks a little like doopey the dwarf.....

I'll catch you hopefully sooner than later...

i had planned on posting yesterday.....

but Rachel came over with the little boys and Lea and Zeb wanted to play in the snow....of course Rachel wanted to take pictures and borrowed my camera....and of course she forgot to take it out of her pocket when she left...hince no pictures to show all my hard work....

Luckily she came back last night (I babysat Scott while they went to the Creation Museum) and brought it back.

The class projects I have so far are all "old lady" cards according to some...I did think I needed to add a little different style in with the mix for class this month, so while cruising the internet for ideas I came across a pop out cake card.  Lori Heiling had a video on how to make it so here is my version...

Not my usual color combination, but I got the ok from my "old lady" card caller....
The little mark on the one above is not a hair on your screen, but some details added by Scott before
I found he had gotten into some of my markers I had laying on the table where I had been working.  Forturnately for me I caught him before he did any more designing....

We will be making these at card class this month..I'll post measurement after class is over.
Well I have 4 out of five cards/project ready for class, but am thinking of saving one till next month.
If I do that I will have 2 more project to come up with instead of 1...hummm I'll have to think this one through a little more... I do have my reasons for doing this you know...

Not having my camera was worth it!

Have a great day.

it didn't start at like this......

but this is how it ended up... The card I was making I am talking about.

It started as a really pretty Mary Brown card over at stampercamper.com, but somewhere between here and there it changed a bit....And that's ok, I don't always have to copy exactly, but it was a good starting place and I do love her work.  It was a little too complicated for class though and I was about to abandon it but keep playing around    with it and this is what I came up with.....

Not the best pictures in the world, but you get the idea.  All it needs now is a little bling in the center of each of the three flowers and its a go....

I never would have thought of putting Island Indigo, Lucky Limeade and Basic Gray...who would of thought, but I think I am going to use it for class...

Well it is after 1:00 am and I am starting to get sleepy.

HS and good night, or morning or whatever.....zzzzzzzzzzzzz

happy feburary...

Well we made it back safe and sound from the Smokys, no thanks to Eugene.  He didn't want to come home, of course he never does...

Well I didn't stamp while I was gone, I crocheted...I made three hats and started 2 more, which I have finished since I have been home.
I have also stamped some.  I made 12 calendar cards like we made in class this month.  I would show them to you, but we sent them all out along with 8 other ones Wed.

Patty and I also made church cards for next week and name tags for WOW (women of worth).

The cards were with a retired stamp set and very simple, but they will work.  I might add some kind of gray ribbon.

We colored them with ink and a blender pen and added some sparkle with the Cherry Cobbler
dazzeling details.

I doesn't show up too sparkley here.
Here's the first hat I made.  It was suppose to be a bear, but it looked more like a frog, so Sally made eyes for me to so on.  I made it for Lea but it looks too small.

Then I knew if I made Lea one, I'd have to make Zeb one or he would take Lea's.
I think this one will be too small on him.  I figured I'd have to make Scott one and Alana one, but I wasn't sure how big to make any of them so I thought I stop on those for now.
Sally wanted me to make a different stitch,

so gripping all the while I made this one.
And after ripping the next one out 5 times, this one.

Don't you just love my Skippo box model?

Well enough said for today.  I've been a little under the weather since we came back, but feeling a little better tonight.

Till next time HS,
Wanda
