Almost done...

Well I didn't make 120 cards, but as of now I have about 97 done.  What I don't finish up tonight won't get done.

I had to make a gift certificate today really fast so I used my My Digital Studio (i did get the second disc), then I decided to turn it into a Christmas card, not fancy but okay.  Hey, I thought I deleted the gift certificate part.  It was deleted  on the main screen copy.  Oh well back to the drawing board.  At least Sheri doesn't  look on here, so don't tell her, it's a sceret.

Hope your Christmas shopping is going well.

Well back to finish up the last of my cards.

Wanda

Busy, Busy, busy

is all I can say.  I have to get my Christmas cards done before Christmas, don't you think?  So I am not sure when I will be posting.
Mom is here today to help and I found out that I had to load disc 2 of my My Digital Studio in so I could get more options, even bows.  I will look forward to playing with that soon.
Until I get my 120 Christmas cards done, it's back to the stamp mines.

Have a lovely day.

another digital card...

this is so easy peasy.  I can't believe how fast and easy it is to create a card using the My Digital Studio.  I still love to work with paper, but at least I can have something to show you while I am creating.

ta, ta for now,
HS,
Wanda

another try

I tried another card with My Digital Studio, as you can see it is really simple.  I need to find out how to cut paper and add layers, but I don't have time to fall asleep this morning so I'll just put this up for now.  I may try to take some more pics of some of the cards and projects from Stampfest, but until then......

i can't believe it..

Another post already.  I just wanted to play around with my "My Digital Studio" a few minutes before my day really started (grandkids) and made this very simple card.  I have to admit, it is fun Barbara.

Now I need to find out how to tie bows and stuff, but that will come later.  I can see some down loads coming soon in my future.
Have a great day!
HS,
Wanda

i'm sleepy getting certified

Just got through listen/watching a webinar to get certified for the My Digital Studio.  It is not a scrapbooking product but a...a... I forgot have to watch it again.  It is over an hour long (just the intro) and I fell asleep about 3/4 of the way through...this may take longer than I thought.  But I did go to bed around midnight and got up at 5:00 am,  so that could have something to do with it.  (good excuse anyway)

Well I think I take a nap (8:00 am).  Then get up and try this day again.

happy stampin' and staying awake today,

i didn't go to sleep yet...

Look what I made with my new My Digital Studio.  Just goofing around.

Now to bed.

Good night.

I'm a bad blogger..

I don't know why the pictures show up at the top after I have already written.  This is a direct copy from Amy Celona (except the peace on earth sentiment).  It is made mostly all with punches. Really cute.

This is a card i completely designed. (suprise) It uses the sweet treat cup and is a shaker card.  I think it's cute.

This is one of the cards we made at the Senior stamping class I had in Amelia.

I thought a blog would be so cool and it is, but I don't have a lot of new stuff to put on here.  There is a Stamping Coach that says business blogging should be different than personal blogging and in an effort not to bore anyone, when I don't get stamping done I don't write anything.  So for now it is both business (monkey business) and personal.
I do have some cards, but most of you made them at stampfest, but for the rest I will down load a few.
Well that's all for tonight.

HS,
Wanda

If you came to this post expecting something and there has been nothing, I am sorry.  I took some card pics and down loaded some Germany pics (cause someone asked to see them) and was going to leave you all a lovely Thankgiving message  and then my computer messed up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just got it going last night, so I appoligize.

For now in case you care, here are a few pictures from my trip to visit my sister in Germany.  It was quite an adventure for a fat girl.  I am planning on writing a book 'Fat Lady, Abroad or Travling Econmy Size'.

And here are some pics and cards soon to follow.

I am Thankful for all my faithful stampers new and old.  I am most thankful when they aren't just customers, but become friends.

Thanks friends,

here's one..

I needed to get a card done for a swap I'm in before tomorrow.  I didn't feel any mojo, so I checked out this weeks Mojo Monday 107 sketch and although this looks nothing like it, it was a starting point.

I leave tomorrow for 2 weeks in Germany so no stamping, at least I don't think so.  But I will be able to post some pics.

I will have to start getting ready for stampfest the minute I get back.  Yikes!  Time flies whether you are having fun or not.

Take care.

Hey I lied......

Wasn't planning on it, but thought, why not post another MoJo Monday sketch.  The fact that this is not Monday, but Tuesday has nothing to do with it.  So here is MoJo Monday on Tuesday for you.

HS,
Wanda

Wow, where have i been...

I can't believe it's been so long since I've been on here.  I have been working on making up the extra project from my last class, getting ready for next weeks class, Stampfest and getting my pictures sent to Sam's so I can scrapbook this week at Comargo Camp.  That took me about 4 hours or so to get my pictures sent there. (don't ask)

So since I don't have any new pictures to share yet, here is a picture of the birthday cake my daughter Angie and her friend Beth made...It's a castle, cute, isn't it..

Well I don't think I'll be back for a few days, I will be stamping though.
Hope you will be too.

HS until next time,
Wanda

Thursday, September 17, 2009

Hey I did make it back today..

This is the card I had in a previous post, but with the matching envolope, made out of the Razzelberry Lemonade designer paper and Pumpkin Pie card stock.  We will be making a card simular to this tonight, the only difference would be if they choose a different color paper. This is one of the make and take projects we did at the Cinti Regional last Friday.  It was so much fun.
Plans are under way for my next classes on Sept 29 at 6:30pm; Sept 30 at 9:30 am; Oct 1 at 9:30 am and 6:30 pm.  We will be doing Fall and Hallowneen cards and candy gift projects.  Sound like fun?  Give me a call or send me an email and sign up.
Until next time,  HS,

Better late than never..

My grand daughter had a birthday on Sunday, but her party was Saturday and since I had the camera, it got borrowed.  Ready for some pics now?  First cards.  These are a few that we did and are doing in tomorrow nights class.
I takes really long to down load these pictures, my oldest daughter Rachel says it's because my megal pixsel (don't know how to spell it) is set to high.  So I'd better go for now, gotta clean for class. More tonight or tomorrow maybe.

Who Hoo

I finally got a new camera.  Yeah!  So I now have no excuse for no picture.   Although I haven't had much time to use it, I did manage to sneak in a card that we are making at this months card class.  It has a matching envolepe too, but I didn't get that pic yet.
I went to an awesome Stampin' UP Regional Convention today, I haven't had time to personally take more pictures yet.  Plus I am working on a really cool Build a Bear project, too cute.
Check back soon for more cool stuff.
I may get to post tomorrow, but if not, have a lovely stampin' weekend.

Another swap card

This isn't very clear, but here is another card done at our shoe box swap.  It is using a retired stamp set from last year, but using some of our new in colors. Crushed Curry, Dusty Drango, and Soft Suede on Kraft card stock.  The image is colored with markers and a flower brad is on the top left hand corner.

I am suppose to be cleaning and finishing projects for tomorrows card class, so I'd better get busy.
HS,
Wanda

Here's another one...

Here is another card from our shoe box swap too.  This is using a retired stamp set.  We colored the bees with a Summer Sun marker and then put crystal effect on them.  A very cute card.  One girl (I use the term loosely, we only had one girl under 40 in our swap:0) forgot to color her bees so then she colored on top of the crystal effects after it had dried. hummm....

Have a wonderful Labor day weekend.  We are off to go camping!

Oh I lied..

I really didn't mean too, but since no one probably is reading this, it doesn't matter, but just in case someone is. ...... WE MADE THE PURPLE CARD and IT WAS THE RIGHT CHOICE! I love when that happens, which is unfortunately rare.

I didn't even post Mojo Mondays sketch. But here is a card that we made at my shoebox swap.
This one was designed by Gail Donovan. Don't you just love it? Don't you think she should be a Stampin' Up demonstrator?
She used all SU paper, ink and stamps. linen thread, watercolor pencils, punches. She's awesome. Thanks, Gail.
I have my classes listed on my Stampin' Up website. I don't know if I can post the link or not. Let me try here a minute.
If you go to my side bar and click on the Stampin' Up web site, it should take you there.  Unfortunately I still haven't figured out how to put it in the body of my post.
Check back tomorrow, if I didn't lie, which I try not to do, I will a have another one or two more shoe box swaps for you to view.  Until then....

A couple more...

Here are two more cards made with the House of Haunts set. I never would have gotten it had I not had to use it for a demonstration on Sat.
It was kind of fun, now that the final decision has been made on which one to use from the two on the previous post.
What is it, you ask? Do you really want to know?
Check back Monday and I'll tell you.
In the mean time the card on the left is made using some of our new in colors. The moon was masked before the white card stock was brayered with so saffron, then it was sponged with crushed curry, rich razzleberry and elegant eggplant. The clouds were sponged
using elegant eggplant.
Several people were impressed with how good my circle was drawn around my moon, it was the stamp not me. That stamp has the circle already drawn, you can use the 1 3/8 circle punch to mask it.
Have a lovely stampin' weekend.

Wanda

Can't decide....

I can't decide.
Saturday at a full group meeting for demos, I am having them make a card using a brayer and sponging technique.
I wasn't sure which card to use so I asked for several opinions...everyone of course picked the black/drango card, but the purple card is simple and still demonstrates the technique. So I am torn as to which one to do on Saturday. Sharon, my up line who is in charge, likes simple and the purple card is definitely simpler, it uses 3 stamp pads, where as the other one uses 5. (She is traveling and unable to give me an opinion.)
I will be doing the black/drango card at my next card class, that's a for sure. I used the House of Haunts from the catalog on pg. 22. I used So Saffron, Crushed Curry, Dusty Drango, and Elegant Eggplant for the background and Basic Gray for the clouds. The main image is stamped with black stazon.
I took several pics with my daughters camera (no I still don't have one) so I will have things to post over the next week or so. Some pics are from the shoes box swap we just had.
Take care and happy stampin',
Wanda

The reason why...

The reason why I haven't blogged since I have been back from Comargo Camp is because I still have no camera. I have the money to buy one, but only had the chance to look once. I don't want a real expensive one, but a good one. Eugene wants one that cost about $700 or $800 so we can get close up pictures of bears and deer in the Smokies:0) I guess that is the only reason.

But I am not planning on going professional yet so I don't think we need one that expensive. But I still need a camera, all these beautiful cards going unseen....

Well I can still post Mojo Monday's sketch even though it's Tuesday. Hopefully I will get to work on it tonight. I am working on a Halloween card for our group meeting (lots of fun sweet SU demos) this Saturday... I can't decide witch (pun intended, even though there is no witch on it:0) one I like best. I am not good at choices.

Have a lovely rest of the day,
HS,
Wanda

WOO HOO!

I got um, I got um down loaded! Woo Hoo! Yeah!
My oldest daughter, Rachel brought her camera by
when she dropped off Scott, my 5 year old special needs
grandson.

I took my pictures, hooray.
I am going to have to buy me a camera one of these days soon.
The top pheasant card I started first and then it didn't seem right, so I started the other pheasant card. I keep messing with both of them and
finally left them alone for a while.
I pulled off the corner thing on the 2nd one. and just left it. These were both from the mojo monday 97 sketch. I use soft suede for the base of the first card and sahara sand for the 2nd. The first and second use the new Autumn Traditions designer paper. The pheasant is colored using the bermuda bay, dusty drango, soft suede, ruby red (for the eye) markers. I'm lovin' the new in color markers. The pheasant is stamped on very vanilla on the first one and sahara sand on the second. I used some vanilla hardware on the first and used the designer label and modern label, photo corner punches. On the second one I used the soft suede polka dot ribbon turned over and the word window punch and the modern label (dog bone as we like to call it) punch. I then use my movers and sharpers to punch out a frame for the dog bone punch.
Wow this is getting long. For the Sympathy card I used mojo monday sketch 98. I decided to also us this for an on line swap I am in. I used Close As a Memory stamp set, razzelberry, mellow moss and white card stock and Cottage Wall dp (another one of my favorites). Mellow moss and rich razzelberry markers, and razzleberry polka dot ribbon.
Hope you like them all. I know I won't get to this week's sketch till next week, cause I am breakfast cook for our church camp for the next 7days. I will be missing in action, but don't worry.......
I'll be back...
HS,
Wanda

There is a great possibility I will get my last two

Have you ever tried one of these sketches yet?
If so, I love to see them. Email or send them to

world to see:0)

We are off to a wedding this morning. My niece in Mt. Vernon, OH is getting married, so leaving at 8:30 am I won't get home until 7 or 8 tonight. Yikes! I just remembered I haven't wrapped her present yet, and believe or not... I DON'T HAVE A CARD MADE FOR HER!!!!!!

MoJo Monday Sketch

Today is Monday and time for another sketch, although I still haven't completed last weeks yet.

Today is my grandson Ethan's 8th birthday and the party is here, so I can't stamp until tonight, but after they all leave believe me I will. Hopefully tomorrow sometime will bring the results.

Have a great day.

And so go the best laid plans of mice and men...

and well meaning stampers. Eugene (my hubby) had a physical on Friday so he didn't work, so I didn't get any stamping done. Monday is my oldest grandson's b-day, he'll be 8, and my daughter call yesterday and informed me that the party would be here at my house since I have more room. So maybe not much stamping then, but momma's coming over so we should be getting some stuff done. Now I will have two Mojo Monday sketches to do. I have several ideas floating in my feeble brain, just waiting to jump out on paper. Until then here is another card we did at last month's class.
Actually didn't do this one at class. I was going to do this one for a swap, but it didn't just jump at me, so I didn't do it. It's not a wow, but it's okay. I used the Lot's of Bolts on pg. 82. I kind of used the same lay out as the example at the top of the page, but they used rub ons and I didn't. I used certainly celery card stock and marker and basic grey card stock and marker. I used the sanded background stamp on the basic grey card stock. Then the Bermuda bay paper, marker and ribbon. Love the new in color markers.
Take care and Happy Stampin'

Not yet

My adorable (?) husband was off work today, (unexpected) so needless to say, I haven't done my sketch card yet, but here is another one from last card class. I am going to start on Monday's sketch now. Is anyone surprised I am late?

This sketch/idea came from Amy Celona, she used retired paper, but here I used To the Nines. I mounted on a Sahara Sand card stock, stamped the image from Nature Silhouette in Basic Brown and sponged a little Sage Shadow ink on it (also on Sahara Sand card stock). Then roughed up the edges and sponged them in Chocolate Chip ink and matted that on some Sage Shadow card stock. The saying is punched out with the tab punch using Sage Shadow card stock and a Kraft taffeta ribbon on it.
Take care and have a stampin' good weekend.

Next we have the Mojo Monday sketch. I haven't made my card yet, but check back on Friday afternoon, I should have it done by then.

A Tale of Two Cards

I have decided to try and make and post cards that I won't use in my classes, so as to give my stamping girls some other ideas beside what they have already made. I decided to use some of the many sketches that are out there. This weeks' sketch is from a group of sketches call Mojo Monday. It is a good place to start when your are not sure what you want to do. (of course even then it usually doesn't turn out like you planned, but it is a starting point:0)

This is the sketch that I started with. I had an idea to use a stamp set my Mom had and recently made her swap with, but the paper I wanted to use was retired and so I used To the Nines, but after I water colored it with my watercolor crayons, it was too busy, so I set the colored image aside and played around with it. After showing it to my 7 yr old "artist" grandson, he helped me to decide how I should finish it off. The stamp set I ended up using was Thoughts and Prayers on pg 52.

I still wanted to use my colored image so I did a second card. I stamped the words from the stamp set in rose red on rose red paper. I mounted the rose red on Sahara Sand then on chocolate chip. The image is stamped on Sahara Sand in basic brown and frame with chocolate chip. I used a chocolate chip taffeta ribbon and used rose red brads on either side of the sentiment. I used crystal effects on the rose, bird, instrument, and butterfly. I am not sure what I think about it. It's okay, but not wow. I will have to walk away from it for a while. This stamp set is Music Expressions on pg. 125.

Well there you are, hope you like them. Try a sketch some time and see what you can come up with. It's kind of fun.

Take and Happy Stamping.

Another card.

This card is a direct c.a.s.e. from someone, but I don't remember who. I doubt if she would ever look here, but if you do, please leave me your name so I can give proper credit.
This card uses two of the beautiful new "in colors" Mambo Melon and Bermuda Bay. The Bermuda Bay stamp pad and re inker had some issues, but will be available to purchase on July 29.
Anyway back to the card, there is a piece of Razzelberry Lemonade designer paper on the side, wrapped around with a piece of Melon Mambo polka dot ribbon. Did I mention I love the new matching ribbon? Actually I love all the papers, ink and ribbons matching, that one of the things I like best about SU, everything matches.
Don't forget the vanilla Hodge Podge hardware on sale for only $18.99.
Back tomorrow. Take care and HS,
Wanda

A card from July card class

This is another one of the new "in colors". It is the soft suede, probably the only nought "bright" one. I guess the razzelberry isn't too bright either, but this is a very nice brown.
The layout here and basic design was c.a.s.e.d (copy and share/steal everything) for Julie in Canada. Her blog is paperpleasing.typepad.com.
She used Crushed Curry and white, I used Soft Suede and Vanilla.
Take care until tomorrow.
