hummm...

Well I hope everyone enjoyed the video..not.. It didn't download and post...I tried for over an hour...

Well since it was a little before it's time and no one really cared, I try at a later date.

This cute card was made by an old friend (she not that old but I've know her for over 30 yrs) and one of my wonderful down line..Rachel Davis.  You fold it like a box top.

I did a similar card at my two workshops this month, but it was square, not the regular card size.  The nice thing was Rachel also gave me the measurements...

Would you like them? Let me know and I will post them.

It's a beautiful day out, enjoy.

greetings earthlings...

Last night we had our monthly Christmas cards night...some people made Christmas cards, some Easter cards, some Herb cards and some......?

I made WOW name tags for April and Easter cards for my grand babies since I won't be with them for Easter....you'll see them later...

Here is a Joyful Fold card, not sure who named it that.  It is a monochromatic card.  I used Whisper White and Pear Pizazz..I show you how it opens on another day...

Here is the Diagonal Plate video I promised...after I thought about it, I thought I should have showed you how to use the Score Plate first, but since I already said I do this, here it is ..maybe I should show the other one tomorrow..

Well catch you later, gator..

hurray, i am posting!

I am getting ready for a busy and long day...I started at 6:00am...

Angie and crew are coming over to help me clean and get the camper ready to go to it's natural home, Cades Cove in the Smokey Mountains.

Rachel is bring the boys over for me to babysit while she goes to parent teacher meeting and counseling.

Tonight the girls (stamping ones;0) are coming over for Christmas card night....

Well on to today's card.

The top one is Calopso Coral and Pool Party, on the last two I use Lucky Limeade and Pool Party.  Neither were my typical color choices, but I do like to step out of my comfort zone and do something different.. I think it worked.

I had two workshops this month and one of the girls wanted to do an easel card, so this is what I came up with.  The DPS, ribbons and brads I got free through Sale A Bration. (you can get them too with a $50 order before March 31.)

Tomorrow I plan to post a video on how to use the new Diagonal Score Plate, plus another card...

Till then, HS,
Wanda

what a crazy wed....

my day started at 4:00am and ended about 11:00pm....and it was crazy.

First of all I was suppose to go to a funeral.  I didn't think I was going to get to go, but Eugene was able to go to work later so he dropped my off at Rachel's.  I was going to use her van to go...but she had a really bad night and wanted to take a little nap before I left her house at 9:30.  She didn't get to lay down till about 9 and I didn't have the heart to wake her up.......so about 11:00 Jonathan came home and woke her up.

I left with the boys at around 12:00....it was seemly uneventful until I went to pick up Ethan at Angie's then the fun began....

Angie wasn't quite home yet so the boys and I got out of the car and sat on the porch swing....it broke and I landed on the ground with my left leg under me...when Angie pulled in, she saw me on the ground.
I was able to get up.
I let the boys play awhile, then loaded everyone up to leave and decided to pull in the side yard to turn around instead of backing onto their busy road.  I got the front tires stuck in the mud.  Angie and I couldn't get the van out....

Meanwhile the boys went out to play again......Scott fell into some muddy, I mean muddy water...he was pretty much covered in mud even his backside and even had mud in his rear end crack....don't ask.

We had to give him a bath....

finally Nate came home...couldn't get it out...tied a rope to it to try to pull it out with my Mom's car...rope broke...got a different rope...I sat on the back, much to Angie concern, Nate pulled, Angie put it in reverse and I fell back into the trunk, with my legs in the air....Angie freaked out (she had been stressing durning most of this anyway.)  I laughed and manged to get out with very little assistance.

Got home about 9:30 last night.  Ethan spent the night....woke up at 4:20am.... did my pre morning ritual....laid back down...couldn't breath good...got my inhaler and came to the computer...my left leg is a little sore.....

We be babysitting until about 1 today.....no pictures right now.

Hope your day is great..

here what I did yesterday...

Wonderful Barbara P. came over yesterday and cut out some stuff while I sewed.  She also made me four Chickie cards that I can use as class samples..Yipeee!

I have a workshop Saturday and wanted to show some things you can make with the big shot...

You can actually cut up to 9 pieces of cotton out at a time with some of the dies.  You need to do a little less if they have folds in them..but still, any time I can cut more than one thing out at a time, I'm happy.

We made (actually finished completely) 5 pin cushions and 4 scissor holders...it was fun and I think they are really cute....

I am trying to decide if I give a set for the door prize or to the hostess ( I have two hostesses for this workshop) or what.  I am planning on making a couple of little bags too....

Of course I haven't even started working on designing the cards we are going to make for the make and takes...did I mention all this has to be done by Saturday.....

I am having grand babies today.......need I say more.

Well I got up at 4 something, posting this at 5 something...you know what they say,  The early bird catches the worms.....

Hope you all have a lovely day...I know I am (?)..

Till next time, HS,
Wanda

happy monday everyone....

and yes, I am glad it is Monday...Whew, what a weekend...

As I said I would and am finally doing a little somewhat not very good, but first, kind of tutorial for the pop up/pull up birthday cake card we did in class last month....

Start with a piece of 4 1/4 x 11 piece of card stock, that is the base.
Score at 3 1/2 x 8 3/4.
Next scallop the top edge of the smallest piece, add dot with white gel pen...

The measurements for the "happy Birthday" white piece is 3 1/8 x 1 1/4 and the frame around it is
3 1/4 x 1 3/8...color and tape to top.

You will use sticky strip to tape on either side and tape the bottom part up, forming a pocket.  You will complete the outside of the card before starting on the inside.

I had planned a more "picture" tutorial, but used up my samples for swaps for the Regional I went to in Columbus.....

Now for the cake inside...

You will need 3 pieces of paper for the "cake...

Sorry this is side ways...you will need to corner round the bottom two pieces, fold the top
1 1/2 x 1 1/2 piece in half and round the top folded piece.

attach these pieces to a 3 x 4 piece of card stock for support.  Remember to only glue down the top half of the top piece of the cake... Cut around the cake cutting out the shape.
Okay I realize I need to take some more pictures of the process...

If you came to class you have the sample, and can finish it...if not and you really want to know, why not comment or email me...

Not sure when I'll get the completed tutorial done...having a little physical difficulties at the moment...nothing serious, none the less making completing this post difficult.

I will work on making a pdf tutorial sometime in the next few weeks...

I have two workshops this month including one Saturday I have to get moving on, plus class, etc and so forth...nothter words, I got places to go, people to see, and cards to stamp...

Until next time,
HS,
Wanda

i can't put it off any longer...

i am going to start on doing my taxes...it my birthday present to my husband...

If I get them done today, he will be very happy...and it is his birthday too..

Here's another card the someone got at the Columbus Regionals Saturday and I am planning on doing it in class this month....

Not the  best lighting, but it is a really cute card...it seems really easy to figure out.

I will post directions soon for this card.....
and speaking of getting things done, someone needs to clean my house and since there is only me and Mom's dog, Doorbell (yes that's her name) here, I don't think I'm going to get much help....

Hope your day is lovely, looks kind of dreary out here maybe rain.

HS till next time,
Wanda
