i really did try....

to post sooner, in fact all week so far.  I started a post Sunday night to be posted on Monday, on Monday I started a post, that I never got posted and here it is already Thursday morning and if I hadn't gotten up at 4:01 am, awake since 3:40 am:( ,I wouldn't get to post this morning.....

Classes have kept me really busy this week.  I am doing a lot of pre stuff so they won't take so long, but that is just more work for me (not hard work, just a little time consuming:0).

I wanted to make some of my shortbread cookies for a treat, but haven't been able to do that either.

Two classes today and I am baby sitting Zeb for a while during morning class.  Ethan has something they are doing in Chapel today and wanted his Mom to be there.  It is kind of hard with 'three' babies and no helper, so Zebbie will stay with me and Scott will go.  Scott will enjoy it more.

Well let's see what I have in the archives today.  I do have 5 class cards to show you but I have to take pics first, so until then...

I don't think I posted this yet, this is a card I designed for last month's class.  It uses the Spice Cake DSP and More Mustard, Pool Party and Soft Suede card stock.

Trust you have a lovely day and I get a NAP!

Sunday Share.....

One of the SU girls, who's blog I frequent, has a Sunday Share time.  She shares videos and stuff different from the rest of the week.. I think that is a great idea since Sunday is the Lord's day...so when I get a chance, I will share my Sunday thoughts....

Today we aren't having dinner at our house, we are having it at our daughter, Angie's house.  We, our 3 children and their families, usually all have dinner together every Sunday.  Paul and Alicia don't always because of their heavy weeks and sometimes they just want to go home to rest.  Rachel (the first born) always makes everyone clean up after we eat so sometimes it takes longer to clean up after 13 instead of 2;0).  Anyway that means I have a few extra minutes this morning.....

Last week at our church we had a local IHC convention.  On Thursday morning Darrel Settler spoke on prayer, a subject I am always wanting to learn more in.... He  said he has been preaching a series of messages on the Lord's Prayer.  I took a few notes, (what I could with a two year old that had to go to the potty, etc..he was really good though...for a two year old:0).

The Lord's Prayer begins with Our Father.....
Real prayer begins with GOD...God's Perspective, becoming aware of God's view...in our failures, insecurities, problems and sin...
Our hope is from GOD! when we look at things they way He does it changes how we view them.

Hallowed be thy name.....
Praise, Reverence.
Give God his proper place.
Entering into prayer with the Gift of Praise.
Although our needs are pressing, and we want to just rush into his presence, the first words in our prayer should be about God...praise, adoration, reverence.

When I am praising I am loving God, not begging God and just wanting something from Him.
A happy soul is a praising soul.
*Praise is our gift to God!!!
Praise changes our view of God.

There, of course was a lot more, but as I ponder these thoughts, I want to praise, worship and adore God more, better, always. I know I can never do it likes He deserves, but I will keep trying.

Patty, a good friend of my came up with this acronym for prayer.

P-praise
R- reverence
A-adoration
Y-yielding
E-expecting
R-receiving

Have a wonderful Sunday and blessing to all.

first things first, then move over lorna doone......

First of all Happy Veteran's day and a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all!

Second, I wanted to post this a couple of days ago, but I really have had no chance, simply because I haven't been alone long enough to get it done.

As you see on Wed. we made shortbread cookies with a recipe and new cookie press I got from Stampin' UP!  Angie thought we had bought them when I sent her some home to try......

Enjoying the fruit of our labors...

They were quite larger than I expected and quite delicious.  Who said stampin' couldn't taste good?

good afternoon

Usually I post in the morning, but right now I find myself alone for a little while.

Mom did come over yesterday and so did Patty.  We made 18 church cards and then finished up 23 cards from last month's card class.  Mom and I then worked on 40 cards for this month's class, I cut paper and Mom runs the Big Shot.  She had to do over 120 pieces for one card.  The card doesn't have 120 pieces but you do it for 40 cards.  I don't know what I would do with out her.

Scott and Zeb came over for a while today, so that Rachel could take a nap and get some cleaning done...you can only imagine what I didn't get done....

First another card from my swap.  I really like this one.  If you want details, just ask.

And this is my newest grand baby, Darren Eugene McIntyre.  He was born on Oct 23, 2011 at 1:13 pm.  He weighed 7 lbs and 11 ozs. and was 19 3/4 inches long.  The first child of my baby boy, Paul (well he is 28, but he's still my baby:0). He's a sweetie.

Well somebody needs to clean my house and since I see no volunteers, I guess I had better get started.

back home and up early...

Back home from our brief but fun camping trip and for some dumb reason I woke up at 1:30 AM and couldn't go back to sleep.

Now I am up and will be wore out for the rest of the day...I guess it's old age or something...

Another swap card.  I have to get details later along with who stamped it for this one and last post one.

I am working on toilet paper roll cards today for this months class.  I have to admit, they are right up my alley.  They are so funny.

I also am working on church cards today, Mom and Patty are suppose to come over.

I am tired thinking about how tired I will be today, but I guess that's life.

Have a lovely day zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....

you will only know where i am....

if you read my blog...so what you ask...Well we (my husband and myself) are going camping this weekend at a small State campground, not far away, but we haven't told anyone yet, at least not kids or camping friends.  We will probably tell them sometime Saturday, but maybe not much before then. Why, you ask, just because......figure it out if  you want.

Well back to the reason you are probably here, a card.

This is a card I received in my card swap.  It uses the embossing resist technique.  You stamp in Versa Mark them emboss with clear embossing powder, them sponge over the embossed images.  I will the name of the person who did this on my next post, if she gave her name. I sure would of, it is a very nice card.

Well that's all for now.

back again.....

Once  again I have neglected to post for awhile...what can I say, that I haven't said before....nothing so lets move on....

I have been doing a lot of stamping andclasses, 1 last week and 4 the week before, so I do have a few things to show you....but just only one for today...
Oh how much prettier this is in "real life".   This one is in Real Red and I did another one in Wild Wasabi.  The stamp set is Beautiful Season and I colored it with markers and used Dazzling Details on the berries.  I also did a "Mary Brown" bow and used a Glimmer brad.

I made this for my swap and Nov. card class.

Well the day ain't getting any younger...places to go and people to see.

Later.
