am I a stampin' narcissist....

I recently looked up the word narcissist, it meant one in love with it self or something like that.

Well sometimes I'm in love with my own card creations.....

I made 3 different cards using the new heart die.  I looked and looked on the internet, trying to find an idea and didn't really come up with much at the time, so I had to start creating my own card....go figure......

Then I couldn't decide which one I wanted to do...

Here is one I like using the Gate Fold style, but I'm not planning on using this for class....
but I do like it...

I still have 3 more cards to make decisions on....2 haven't been invented yet.....

Need to get busy....

Have a lovely day, oh and none of these cards have glitter, yet, so no glitter pants for now..

up, up and away..........

as voice fades off in the distant.....

Two different cards made with a FREE stamp set!

I was planning on using the first one for card classes this month then thought..hummmm, wouldn't it be fun to make this a spinner card...then I thought, hummmm, wouldn't it be fun to have puffy clouds...

I don't know if I'm a genius, mad scientist or crazy stamper, but when I remembered that Dawn Giffith had made snow with shaving cream and white glue, I thought hummmmm, I could use that to make clouds....(hummm, there's a whole lot of "hummmmming",going on).

You take one part shaving cream (believe me on teaspoon is enough of both) and one part white glue and mix together and paint on..Eureka! I've created a cloud! Paint on with small paint brush...let dry and add another layer if you want.

I have 4 more card fronts drying as we speak (or I guess as I type)..I covered the black cloud outlines in some and then stamped one in Soft Sky ink and then painted my clouds...t see of course which one I like best.

Well back to the "Stamp Mines" as Jan Tink would say.

.....paper to stamp, cards to make and classes to get ready for...

happy stampin' new year!

As they sometimes say, 'Today is the first day of the rest of your life.'
How true. All past mistakes, bad choices and so on, are all in the past,  and today, each day we can begin a new, fresh clean page....

Don't know quite why I wrote that.....reflections? time to start a new diet?

Well I had a great start to the New Year by seeing all my babies from Ohio, Oklahoma and Tennessee.
I didn't have them at Christmas, but we all met in Tennessee for the New Year....

I did make one, or should I say 3 cards with a new Occasional catalog that you can start ordering from at 4:00am Central Time;0)

Not posting those pics today though, just a couple of cards we have and are sending out for "church cards". (if you want to know what those are just ask me.)
This is the card we sent out last week....we sent out 36 of these! We did this card in our Nov class.
I got this idea from Connie Babbert at inkspiredtreasures.com. She is a great artist.

This stamp set is Little Cuties and today is the last day you can order it, so if you really like it you better call me today and order it! (it also has an angel and elf image, we made lots of cute cards with this stamp set.)

This the card we will be sending out next...My darling Mom brayered and embossed about 40 of these for me! I just taped them onto some Lost Lagoon card stock and added some red birds punched out with my Tree Builder punch.  At first I just punched them out of Real Red  card stock and then decided to use some Red Glimmer paper, pretty.

They decided to retire this embossing folder, Woodland Textured, but it was so popular that they are bringing it back from retirement this coming May..smart move Stampin' Up!

Well Glitter Pants goes back to work tomorrow, thank the Lord...
He has decided he doesn't want to retire any time soon and I decided I don't want him to either....

Nough said about that for now..

Let look forward to a happy, healthy, God filled, stampin' New Year!

Glitter Pants Strikes Again...

another thrilling episode in the secret life of Glitter Pant...and the saga continues...(this might be better than Star Wars)

We were in the car after church Sunday night and  GP (glitter pants) said, did you put anything on the computer about my glittery pants? (busted)
He told me someone came up to him at church and called him Glitter Pants....(thanks Philip)..
anyway to make along story short afterward GP said, "Here's Christmas card from Patty."
He then proceeded to open it up.."This is pretty".
I told him she made them at Christmas card night and it used the same stamp set as the other "glittery one", then he look down again and said"MORE GLITTER! IT"S ALL OVER ME AGAIN!"
Evidently he must attract glitter...once again he had glitter all over his pants, hands, everywhere...

He may as well embrace his feminine side I guess and wear glitter.....ha, ha, ha.....
(he never reads my blog, so I'm good, unless he runs into a blabber mouth again;0)

Well would you like to see the famous cards.....

The glitter doesn't show up really good here and it also depends on the person making the card as to how much glitter they put on it.  I really don't go too overboard usually, but some of my girls really like glitter!
This card was designed by a stamper in New Zealand...Jacque Williams..really beautiful in person.
This is the card Patty made and gave out for Christmas cards..One of my stampin' girls, Phyllis found this on the internet somewhere and we made it.. I did change it up a tiny bit, but it really close and full of glitter too....

So there you have it...

Have a Wonderful Holiday! and
Merry Christmas from Me and Glitter Pants...

(it won't be a silent night if he finds out about this!)

Sneak Peak and Glitter Pants

yes you heard me right, glitter pants and on my husband no less.....
Prissy guy...well not really, but that's what happens when you sit in a seat after some of my stampin' girls get through making their Christmas cards...
It was so funny Eugene sat at the end of the table after a morning class, unsuspecting....then as he stood up and went into the living room he saw sparkle and said "I've got glitter all over my pants!"

I tried to get him to let me take a picture and post it on here but he wouldn't let me...ha, ha.
So now his new nick name is Glitter Pants....just one of the hazards a guy has to put up with when he has a busy stampin' wife;0)

I thought I had taken a picture of the card, but I guess I hadn't yet....I post the picture next time...

Now for the sneak peak..

I don't know if it's the colors, the flowers or what, but this is one of my favorite sets in the new catalog and designer paper...I love the colors.....

Well I really need to go to the Y today, but can't seem to make myself do it...so I guess I'll make cards or clean my house...tough choice...not..

Well I'm off for now, happy stampin' or hs from
Wanda and Glitter Pants!

Cards for Christmas Card Night (and day)

Just a quick post to show you some cards we will be making at our monthly "Christmas Card Night"
that we have in the day too.  No time for explanations now...

I got this card idea from Frances Martin.....I did a couple different things but mostly her idea...

These weren't how I had originally envisioned them in my mind, but they work... It was easier than cutting the angels out....The two colors are Blackberry Bliss and Night of Navy, you could switch out the gold and silver if you wanted.

I didn't take a picture of the Wisteria Wonder tree card we made in class, my camera battery died and I have to recharge it... but if you were in class you know what it looks like, if you weren't I guess you'll have to wait until I post it......(don't hold your breath)

Well dear faithful reader/ readers,  Have a lovey Thanksgiving,

Wanda

decisions, decisions,

decisions.....we all have to make them.  You, me....

I made 7 different card and several different designs but only need 5 cards....you get to decide which 5 you want this month at class or pay a little extra and do some or all! (three are fun fold cards..guess which three.)

Well here are pictures of them all and maybe you can decide before you come to class which ones you want...
Good luck!

and Happy Stampin'
